Generating Product Images
Once the generation settings are ready:
- Write or prepare your image prompt.
- Select an AI provider.
- Select a style.
- Select an image size.
- Choose the number of variations.
- Confirm the reference image.
- Click Generate Image.
Photoviq AI will send the generation request to the selected AI provider.
After the generation is complete, the results appear in the Generated Variations section.
Image generation time may vary depending on the selected AI provider, model, request complexity, and third-party service availability.
Managing Generated Variations
Each generated image appears as a separate card in the Generated Variations area.
From each generated image, you can:
- Select it for gallery creation
- Choose reference images for further generation
- Enter a variation prompt
- Save it to the Media Library
- Set it as the featured image
- Generate another variation
Using Reference Images for New Variations
Each generated image provides reference image options:
- Original
- Generated
These options determine which image or images should be used as references when creating another variation.
Original
Use the original product/reference image as input for the next variation.
Generated
Use the current AI-generated image as input for the next variation.
Depending on the workflow, you may be able to select the appropriate reference source before generating another variation.
This allows you to progressively refine the result.
Variation Prompt
The Variation Prompt field allows you to provide additional instructions for a specific generated image.
Example:
Place the product on a marble table with soft natural lighting.
Other examples:
Use a premium black studio background.
Create an outdoor lifestyle scene.
Add soft cinematic lighting.
Use a minimal white ecommerce background.
After entering your instructions, click:
Generate Variation
Photoviq AI will create a new variation using the selected reference image option and your variation instructions.
Save an Image to the Media Library
To save a generated image to the WordPress Media Library, click:
Library
The image can then be managed through the standard WordPress Media Library and used elsewhere on your website.
Set a Generated Image as the Featured Image
To use a generated image as the main WooCommerce product image, click:
Featured
The generated image will be assigned as the product’s featured image.
After making product changes, make sure to save or update the WooCommerce product when necessary.
Create a Product Gallery
Photoviq AI allows you to create a WooCommerce product gallery from multiple generated images.
Step 1: Select Images
Use the selection checkbox on the generated image cards.
As images are selected, the Selected counter updates.
For example:

Step 2: Create the Gallery
Click:
Create Product Gallery
The selected images will be used for the WooCommerce product gallery.
This makes it easy to generate a complete set of visually related product images from one workflow.
